The astonishing natural wonders of Roatan's water, is renowned throughout the world as a diver's dream destination. Crystal clear with an average temperature of 80 degrees, it's the perfect spot to explore the aquatic world and swim alongside tropical sea creatures. But you don't have to be an experienced diver to enjoy the wonders down under. A guided tour aboard a BOSS offers a unique perspective and endless fun…and all you have to do is sit down and drive.

Your three-and-a-half-hour adventure begins as you board your transportation for a scenic ride to your waiting custom-built boat. Then, you'll cruise out to the BOSS dive site where you'll meet professionally certified dive masters who will demonstrate how to handle your Breathing Observation Submersible Scooter. If you choose, you can also snorkel or simply relax on the boat and soak up the Caribbean sun.

Easy to operate, the scooter uses a scuba tank attached to the front of the craft as an air supply. You just sit on the small scooter with your head covered by an acrylic "bubble." The bubble uses the same concept as placing a cup over water – as the BOSS Scooter descends, a seal is formed and your head stays dry while inside the bubble. The unit is not propelled by an engine but uses a 12-volt battery and a switch. Simple-to-use controls allow you to easily maneuver the scooter through the water.

After your instructions, you'll be gently lowered into the calm and protected Caribbean waters. Your dive master will remain with you as you're led on the tour through the water, pointing out the wonders as you glide along.

Roatan is surrounded by part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world. Stretching nearly 700 miles from the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula down through the Honduran Bay Islands, the reef is home to over 60 species of stony coral and the world's largest population of manatees so have your camera ready, you may also see sea turtles, moray eels, dolphins, whale sharks or any number of the 500 species of fish that live here. At the end of your tour, you'll drive back to the boat, where you'll be helped out of your scooter.

Then, you'll cruise back to the dive facility, board your transportation back to port with a camera filled with amazing memories.

Special Notes:

The minimum age required to participate is 10 years old. Minimum height to participate is 48 inches and maximum weight allowed is 350 pounds. A medical history/liability waiver must be completed prior to participating on this tour. Certain medical conditions may prevent your participation. Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel, adequate sun protection, and a change of clothes if desired. An underwater camera is an ideal way to capture all the colorful marine life that you'll encounter.
