Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
WHAT YOU VISIT
Wendake Amerindian Village
Canada's only surviving Huron community is located northwest of Quebec City on the opposite shore of the St. Charles River. Enjoy a guided tour of the area. Become acquainted with the daily life and customs of the Huron people in the long-house and learn about the techniques used for meat drying and food preservation methods in the smokehouse. Free time at the village offers the chance to do a little exploring and a path leads to Onhoüa Chetek8e, a replica of a 17th century Huron village with wooden longhouses.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
One of the many photogenic subjects ready for their close up is Kabir Kouba Falls. Falling from a height of 91 feet, a trail leads to a view of the canyon which at its highest point measures 137 feet.
