La Paz Waterfall Gardens:
The top ecological attraction in Costa Rica, La Paz Waterfall Gardens welcomes you to its spectacular sanctuary of rainforests, cloud forests, waterfalls and over 100 species of animals. The 2.2 miles (3.5 kilometers) of hiking trails and viewing platforms were designed and constructed without cutting one tree or vine system. Ten environments introduce visitors to a hummingbird garden, butterfly observatory, aviary, serpentarium and frog exhibit, monkey habitats and jungle cat display. The walk concludes at a staircase that climbs through a refreshing spray up the vertical cliff face of a series of waterfalls. The park's mission is to preserve and protect the natural environment for the entertainment and education of people of all ages.
