What you will visit:

Marina Vallarta
An exclusive enclave on the city's north side, Marina Vallarta is a modern complex with expensive properties, a sparkling marina studded with yachts and a championship golf course.

El Pitillal
A traditional neighborhood with friendly locals and a laid-back atmosphere, El Pitillal has a main square, church and bustling marketplace. Strolling musicians, colorful cultural events and the tantalizing aromas of authentic food add fun and spice to the atmosphere.

Malecón
On this mile-long walkway along the expansive coastline of beautiful Banderas Bay, keep an eye out for the famous Seahorse statue by artist Rafael Zamarripa. This iconic symbol of Puerto Vallarta is a replica of Las Pilitas, a statue initially located at the end of Los Muertos Beach that was destroyed by strong winds and waves. In 1976, the artist created a new version that was installed on the Malecon, and it has become the hallmark image of the city.

Viejo Vallarta (Old Vallarta)
Also known as the Romantic Zone, this busy section of Puerto Vallarta is crammed with tiny cafes, lively restaurants and curio shops.

What you will see along the way:
This five-hour adventure crisscrosses the main sections of Puerto Vallarta offering a comprehensive and scenic overview of the island.

Photo Opportunities:

Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Capture beautiful photographs of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe with its neoclassical design reminiscent of European baroque cathedrals and its chiming church bells.

Former Home of Elizabeth Taylor
Situated on a pretty hillside site, the area became noteworthy in 1963 when Richard Burton bought "Casa Kimberly" as a gift for Elizabeth Taylor during his filming of Night of Iguana. Paparazzi often photographed the area, and you'll feel like one yourself while snapping photos.

Cuale Island Market and Park

Shaded by enormous tropical trees and foliage, Cuale Island until the 1960s was a traditional island where hard working women washed clothes in the waters, beating their clothes with palm fronds. Today, this cultural hub offers a variety of vendors, a museum and a statue dedicated to John Huston as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of the film, Night of the Iguana, filmed in the area.

Shopping:

In Old Town, Taxco Exporta is Vallarta´s newest destination for original silver from Taxco, as well as tequilas and truly unique Mexican handicrafts and gifts.

When visiting the family-operated Tequila Distillery, located on the banks of the Mismaloya River, sample tequilas and purchase a bottle of your favorite to bring home.
