Stonehenge
Arriving at Stonehenge, you'll visit the visitor and interpretation centre to learn more about this world famous 5,000 year old mystical stone circle. Download for free the Stonehenge App, which turns your mobile device into your personal audio guide, and hop on the shuttle, which will take a few minutes to transport you to the stone circle. 
As compelling today as it was to the people who built the first phase all those years ago, you will able to walk along the encircling pathway for close up views of the stones. Your Stonehenge App audio guide will inform you of the many archaeological finds including what has been learnt about the builders who crafted this monument, their beliefs, primitive tools and methods. 

What you will see along the way:
The drive from Portland to Stonehenge is approximately two hours each way. Along the way, enjoy gazing out the window at views of Portland Harbor then on through the rolling hills of Dorset. The harbor, located at the southernmost part of the coast, was used for over 500 years by the British Royal Navy. Breakwater construction performed between 1848 and 1905 created one of the largest man-made harbors in the world, now a popular spot for tourism and sailing events.

Travel time to Stonehenge is approximately two hours each way. Guests are encouraged to download the free Stonehenge App, which serves as an audio guide in multiple languages to narrate the visit to the stones. There is free Wi-Fi at the visitor center to download the app, or guests may do this in advance of their visit.
