Winners of 'The Most Outstanding English Sparkling Wine' 2015 and 2016, and taking the Gold in the Sommelier Wine Awards, this beautiful 30-acre vineyard is planted solely with the classical Champagne varieties Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier. The production process from grape to bottle is handled on site. A relaxed drive through the countryside brings you to this exquisite property, where you'll be treated to an exclusive guided tour through the estate, including the winery itself, before heading to the tasting room for a tutored tasting of effervescent wines processed with a delicate mixture of both old-world and modern techniques. What you will see along the way:
A relaxed and scenic drive from Portland port brings you to Langham Wine Estate. Starting in historic Portland Harbor, which was used for over 500 years by the British Royal Navy and is now one of the largest man-made harbors in the world, you will travel through the rolling hills of Dorset through the historic market town of Dorchester and the picturesque village of Puddletown, which is said to have been the inspiration for the town of Weatherby in Thomas Hardy's Far from The Madding Crowd.
Lunch:
Sip a variety of the vineyard's finest products during a guided tasting session, then savor a picnic style lunch selection of finger sandwiches and traditional scones crafted from locally sourced ingredients.
