What you will visit:
Sculpture by the Lakes
Simon and Monique Gudgeon have created a garden oasis of majesty and beauty for lovers of art and nature in a 26-acre park nestled in the glorious Dorset countryside. Monique designed the gardens in which 30 works by her husband, world-renowned sculptor Simon, are featured. The power of the pieces connects seamlessly with the beauty of the natural surroundings. Smaller works are on display in the gallery, and you can relax and have a drink in the beauty of the surrounding gardens with some homemade cake in the Gallery Café.
What you will see along the way:
Travel through the countryside of Dorset, admiring the rolling green hills dotted with quaint towns and villages. The area is steeped in natural history, with a 200-million-year-old Jurassic Coast, whose remarkable geological value had it named a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. The area is home to the 180-foot-tall hillside carving of the Cer'e Abbas Giant and boasts beautiful beaches, limestone ridges and stunning chalk downs, with half the county designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.'
