Go wild during this engaging half-day adventure that starts with a narrated journey up the gorgeously lush Tasman Peninsula to reach Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, the world's first Tasmanian devil center. Here, observe these unique black-and-white marsupials as they snarf, snarl and feed, an aggressive and entertaining activity to behold. Wander amongst wallabies, hand-feed friendly kangaroos, observe quolls and falcons and meet a Potoroo, a kangaroo-rat-like creature. Before leaving, visit the gift shop for mementos, including local wines. Enjoy a chocolate tasting at Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry before returning to the ship.
Special Notes:
IMPORTANT – Guests will need to walk approx. 5-10 mins from the tender arrival point to the coach departure point, the walk way is over uneven ground and includes a slight incline to reach the Visitor Centre.Do not put your fingers inside the parrot aviaries at Tasmanian Devil Unzoo - they nip.
The Port Arthur Historic Site can be enjoyed after the morning tour or before the afternoon tour.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's weather. Bring a hat, jacket, adequate sun protection and insect repellent.
