Dune Buggy Adventure
The gigantic sand dunes of Huacachina offer a surreal and mesmerizing natural experience. The landscapes and magnificent dunes are outer-worldly and incredibly cinematic. Guests are first treated to a fast-paced professionally driven dune buggy ride, utilizing modern, lightweight vehicles that can easily climb the dunes, which reach up to 400 feet high, going up and down the hills at a roller-coaster pace. Then, the ride stops for photos and the opportunity to try the latest adventure sport of "sandboarding," just like snowboarding but over fine grains of sand. Alternatively, "sand sledding" is a fun activity that does not require as much agility and patience. For those who prefer a slower pace, a more relaxed dune buggy tour is an option.

What you will see along the way:
Huacachina is South America's only desert oasis. Located in Ica, the sand-swept landscapes offer a striking contrast to the surrounding, lush-green vineyards known for the production of red wine and pisco brandy.

Snack/Tasting:
Upon conclusion of your dune buggy experience, transfer to a local, luxury hotel for a pisco tasting. Pisco, the national drink, is a distilled clear or amber-colored brandy made from grapes, as a way to concentrate alcohol so it could be transported to remote locations. The name came from Pisco, the port from which it was shipped. At your tasting session, sip five types of piscos and pick your favorite.
