What you will visit:

The Queen Charlotte Track Walk
Active travelers will enjoy getting out into nature on a walk that takes in the best of New Zealand's dramatic landscape. Embark on a 90-minute jaunt along Peninsula Loop, a section of the Queen Charlotte Track, a 44-mile-long trail system that travels from historic Ship Cove to Anikawa. The loop travels along skyline ridges, offering views of both Mistletoe and Waterfall Bay. Listen to the bird calls as you trek through lush, mature coastal forest studded with kamahi, tree ferns and manuka trees.

Scenic Cruise
Travel to and from Mistletoe Bay on the "Sounds Adventure," a large sightseeing launch that features an open upper deck and an enclosed salon as well as restrooms.

What you will see along the way:
Wonderful natural scenery is appreciated from both the water and on land on this outdoorsy adventure that makes the most of New Zealand's rich landscapes. As the launch cruises Queen Charlotte Sound to Mistletoe Bay, gaze upon these nutrient-rich waters that attract seals, seabirds and dolphins, including common, bottlenose and Hector's dolphins. Later, as you hike the loop, part of a 44-mile-long trail system that travels from historic Ship Cove to Anikawa, you'll admire skyline ridge vantage points, mature coastal forests and views of both Mistletoe and Waterfall Bay.

Refreshments:
An energy bar and water are provided during your hike. Tea is served on your return cruise to Picton.

Special Notes:

Participants should be in good physical condition for a walk which climbs 30 meters (98 feet) and is over uneven ground. The track may be wet and muddy if there has been rain. Wear strong and comfortable walking shoes and clothes for the conditions. Bring a rain jacket.

The tour concludes at the Picton Township. Return to the ship via complimentary shuttle service at your leisure.
