Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Embark on a full-day guided adventure to see some of Australia's most beautiful landscapes. Begin at your pier where you will step aboard an air-conditioned coach for a drive north along the coast. Your journey takes you past Cottesloe and Scarborough Beaches, two of Perth's most popular beaches, boasting pristine, white sands and glistening, azure waters. Head inland, travelling through the low scrub terrain that characterizes the bush.

Your destination is the visually stunning Yanchep National Park, featuring collapsed cave systems, gorges, coastal wetlands and lakes. Enjoy a pleasant walk through this breathtaking reserve which is home to koalas, kangaroos, emus and other native wildlife. Keep an eye out for the late-blooming, colorful wildflowers for which Western Australia is famous (seasonal).

Take part in the Aboriginal Cultural Interaction as a knowledgeable park guide explains the "Dreamtime" - the rich matrix of creation stories, customs and beliefs that constitutes the core of traditional Aboriginal life.

Take a break from your adventure to indulge in lunch in the Yanchep National Park. Nestled in Tuart and Banksia woodlands, the park is home to many different water and bush birds including grebes, swans, pelicans, cormorants, egrets, kingfishers, parrots, wrens and honeyeaters, to name a few. Endangered Carnaby's black cockatoos are a spectacular daily sight during their return from the wheatbelt nesting areas. Western Grey kangaroos are commonly seen on the walk trails or grazing on the picnic lawns.

Enjoy a brief visit to Lake Monger, one of Perth's most delightful parklands and home to the famed black swan, an important part of Western Australia's heritage featured on the State flag. Have your cameras at the ready as you'll have the opportunity to observe these elegant swans and many other water birds that exist in the wetlands thanks to the creation of a special breeding island.
