See the city sights on this full-day, moderately active adventure that begins at your pier in Fremantle. Board an air-conditioned motorcoach accompanied by a knowledgeable guide and enjoy a scenic drive through historic Fremantle en route to the city of Perth.

Have your cameras at the ready as your journey takes you past Fremantle Prison (built in 1855 to house imperial convicts, colonial prisoners, enemy aliens, prisoners of war and maximum-security detainees) and the Round House, the oldest building in Western Australia which also served as a prison. Travel along the Esplanade and Beach Road, passing Victoria Quay and the Pensioner Forces Cottages.

Visit Perth, the capital of the largest state in Australia. Founded in 1829 and located alongside the peaceful Swan River, this stunning city features a Mediterranean climate and a population that is a third of the major eastern cities.

Enjoy a brief narrated orientation drive through Perth's city center then disembark for approximately two hours of free time for independent sightseeing and shopping. Take in the many great architectural landmarks such as the Perth Mint, housed in an elegant, late 19th century, heritage building.

Should you choose, you may take time out from your exploration to stop at one of the city's charming pubs or restaurants for lunch on your own.

Following your city tour, you will be transported to Barrack Street Jetty where you will board a riverboat for a calm, picturesque cruise down the Swan River to Fremantle. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee as your friendly Captain points out the passing sights. Among them are Perth's impressive new Bell tower, the restored Swan Brewery, King's Park, the Royal Perth Yacht Club and the magnificent homes of the rich and famous on Millionaire's Row overlooking the river.

Your cruise comes to a close in Fremantle's bustling inner harbor where you will disembark for your brief ride back to your Princess ship at the pier.
