Board an air-conditioned motorcoach for a scenic 145-mile drive through the stunningly beautiful and rugged Australian landscape. Travel along the scenic Indian Ocean Drive, passing through quaint seaside towns enroute to Cervantes.

Your destination is Cervantes, a small fishing village of approximately 500 people named for an American whaling ship which wrecked nearby in 1844. Enjoy a relaxing stop at Cervantes where you will indulge in a two-course lunch prior to resuming your adventure.

Refreshed and satisfied, head south aboard your motorcoach into the nearby reaches of the 1000-acre Nambung National Park, site of the mystical Pinnacles Desert. This yellow quartz sand desert features a forest of mysterious pillars (varying in height from mere inches to 20 feet!) created by millions of years of complex interaction between lime, sand, wind and rain. Enjoy a narrated drive of this awe-inspiring desert scene before taking free time to wander among the magnificent formations on your own.

Have your cameras at the ready as you take in the eerie spires that form remarkable shapes against a stark moon-like desert scene. Watch carefully as the slowly shifting sunlight brings out the colors and shadows of these unique natural wonders often featured in films. Keep a keen eye out for a possible glimpse of the park's animals such as emus and kangaroos.

Following your adventure, re-board your motorcoach and contemplate the natural wonders you have witnessed during your scenic drive back to your Princess ship in the glistening harbor at Fremantle.

Special Notes:

The drive from Fremantle to Cervantes is approximately 3.5 hours long with a rest stop along the way.

Wear clothing suited to weather conditions and comfortable walking shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses, adequate sun protection and insect repellant.
