Discover Kyoto's unspoiled treasures that stand as silent tributes to its sacred past. From Osaka, sit back and enjoy a narrated drive to your first destination, the Fushimi Inari Shrine. Built in 711, it's most famous for the 10,000 brilliant red gates that arch over a pathway leading through a forest and up to a hilltop overlooking Kyoto. Lunch beckons next followed by a visit to the Ryoanji Temple. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 15th century temple is noted for its tranquil Zen rock garden. Your final stop is the Kiyomizu Temple. Renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Temple was founded in 778 on the site of a rushing waterfall whose waters are believed to have mystical powers. But Kiyomizu is best known for its wooden stage, which was built completely without nails and juts out over the hillside offering panoramic views.

Special Notes:

The drive between Osaka and Kyoto is approximately 90 minutes each way. Passengers should expect traffic and delays. This tour involves a substantial number of steps and uphill walking at Fushimi-inari Taisha, Kiyomizudera tera Temple and Ryoanji temple. Shoes must be removed to enter Ryoaji Temple.
This tour is not considered suitable for passengers with walking difficulties. Kiyomizu temple locates on the top of hill.
The roof of the main hall of Kiyomizu temple has been under renovation work and covered. Due to these restoration works, they might spoil the scenery. We suggest you carry local currency. A minimum of 20 passengers is required for this tour to operate.
Tour order may vary.
We do not recommend you to drink water from Otowa waterfall at Kiyomizutera Temple even though it is drinkable.
