WHAT YOU VISIT
Originally the home of Colonel Thomas Williams, grandson of one of the island's first settlers, The Good Hope Estate offers panoramic views of the Queen of Spain Valley, the Martha Brae River, and the thickly forested Cockpit Mountains. Behind its beautiful façade is a treasure trove of memorabilia and authentically restored rooms, and the grounds boast a lily pond, stables and a beach. Step back in time at this gracious home and get a glimpse into Jamaica's rich cultural and industrial heritage.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Travel inland to the Good Hope Estate passing lovely valleys, citrus farms and sugar plantations.
SHOPPING
The plantation's Trading House, is a one-of-a-kind store that allows you to sample and purchase several authentic Jamaican products, including Appleton Rum, an excellent smooth rum made nearby, Blue Mountain coffee and Walkerswood sauces.
LUNCH
High tea served in an idyllic setting includes a varied menu beginning with a finger-sandwich platter, followed by small cakes, muffins and fresh fruit. Your choice of teas will include some brewed from leaves grown on the plantation.
