Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Board your motorcoach at the pier and drive along palm-lined white sand beaches. You'll pass by the airport, built by the Americans during the Viet Nam War, and continue past the statue of Tran Hung Dao, a Vietnamese hero who fought against Kublai Khan's 13th century Mongol invasion.
Enjoy expert narration on the history and culture of Vietnam as you sightsee through the downtown district, passing small shops and French colonial-era buildings. At Dam Market, located next to a large pond, you'll find a giant two-story market complex that can accommodate up to 6,000 shoppers.
Here you'll have ample time to browse the colorful vendors' stalls with an intriguing variety of wares that range from fresh fruits, vegetables, dried shark fins and bird's nests to electronic equipment and clothing. At a Silk Embroidery Workshop, you'll gain insight into the ancient Vietnamese art of picture embroidery. This unique folk craft illustrates subjects pulled from ancient Vietnamese myths or depicts scenes from everyday life, for an intriguing glimpse of the local culture.
The Stone Church, officially known as the King Cathedral stands at a height of 12m in the city center. The church is popular with young couples choosing a wedding site and is favored among photographers due to its beautiful inside space.
The Cathedral, a relic of French colonialism, boasts a massive stone clock tower housing three large bells and the Khanh Hoa Museum chronicles the history of Cham culture in Khanh Hoa Province. A refreshing cup of ginger or green tea enjoyed during your visit to the silk embroidery workshop adds the finishing touch to an eventful journey through Vietnamese history, culture and breathtaking natural beauty.
