Spectacular coastline vistas and heritage sights are best enjoyed from the picturesque waters of Narragansett Bay, a designated estuary of stunning beauty and national significance. Your adventure begins with a walk to Bowen's Wharf and a warm welcome from your experienced crew as you step aboard the Adirondack II, a striking 80-foot sailing schooner. Gorgeously appointed with mahogany trim and teak decks, the schooner will head through Newport Harbor to highlight Newport's coastal scenery. Take in lovely views of such famous sites as Fort Adams, Castle Hill Inn, the stately lighthouses, and the lavish estates which dominate the landscape, including Hammersmith Farm, which was Jacqueline Kennedy's family home and the summer White House for JFK. Your captain will regale you with historical facts and local lore as you sip a sparkling mimosa and photograph the wonders before you. Special Notes:
This tour includes approximately 30 minutes of easy walking; however, guests must be able to negotiate the large steps on and off the schooner with limited assistance. Additionally, there are seven stair steps to access the onboard restroom. This tour is not available for wheelchair guests and is not considered suitable for those with mobility concerns. Weather-appropriate clothing such as a windbreaker, sun cap, sunscreen and sunglasses are recommended. Flat, comfortable, non-slip shoes are essential. Tour operates rain or shine.Details
