What you will visit:

Amalfi Coast (drive)
Costiera Amalfitana in Italian, Amalfi's coastline ribbons along the southern shore of Salerno Gulf. This popular destination, renowned for its breathtaking beauty, was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site cultural landscape in 1997. Drink in the spectacular vistas and marvel at the greatness of the Dolomitic Cliffs towering out of the turquoise sea in spectacular shapes, the sweeping vistas, and the windswept beaches.

Pompeii
The eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. was a monumental natural disaster that killed thousands and entombed the city of Pompeii. A visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an opportunity to view a moment in time preserved for more than 2,000 years in this lost city buried deep beneath the ash. Walk among the ruins that, in exquisite detail, paint a picture of daily Roman life. Known as a vacation community for high society, some of the ruins are remarkably preserved, with elaborately detailed mosaics and colorful frescoes decorating the interiors of wealthy homeowners' villas.
Sorrento
The coastal town of Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples. Explore the cobblestone side streets and public squares, such as Piazza Tasso and Piazza Antiche Mura with its lively atmosphere. Sorrento is a prime place for shoppers and ambience seekers alike. The bustling Corso Italia, a flower-lined main boulevard, showcases charming cafes and designer boutiques. Stroll down to the picture-perfect Sorrento pier and take in the fresh sea breezes or go beachcombing along the rocky shoreline.

Positano
One of the prettiest towns on the glamorous Amalfi Coast, Positano charms with its candy-colored homes clinging vertically to the face of a flower-strewn cliff, the subject of myriad postcards and photos. Once a major trading port in the Middle Ages, today it is a sophisticated retreat for tourism, filled with boutiques, beach shops, fine restaurants and cafés. This fashionable resort, centered around the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, delights all who explore its pedestrian lanes and dizzying stairs, camera in hand.

What you will see along the way:
From Naples, it's a 45-minute drive to Pompeii, where the distinctive outline of Mt. Vesuvius will come into view. The scenic drive between Pompeii and Sorrento is approximately one hour. As you continue to Positano, take in the breathtaking vistas along the Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Naples.

Lunch:
Dine on an elegant four-course lunch with wine at a five-star property in Sorrento or in Positano. Sample menu includes a flute of Italian champagne; cannelloni with ricotta cheese and spinach; chicken breast with tomato and mozzarella cheese; or fish fillet with roasted potatoes; vegetables; dessert; mineral water; wine; coffee.

Shopping:
In Sorrento, you'll find some of the best shopping along the Amalfi Coast. It's the perfect place to pick up souvenirs, such as a bottle of the local limoncello liqueur.

Special Notes:

Most of the shops will be closed in Positano during low season-the end of October to December.

The roads of the Amalfi Coast are narrow and winding. Passengers who suffer from motion sickness should take this into account.

Lunch might be served at a five-star hotel in Sorrento or in Positano.

Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center, a short walk from the minibus drop-off point to the main center and vice versa will be required.

Tour may operate in reverse order. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.

For security reasons, large bags, backpacks and trolleys are not permitted inside Pompeii excavations. These large items can be left in the motorcoach. Lockers are not available.

Tour timeline may vary to avoid overcrowding, etc.
