Explore the heart of Mykonos in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle on this half-day excursion. Enjoy the lesser seen backcountry as you follow your guide to some of the most scenic and undiscovered corners of the island on this four-hour adventure.

Begin in the port of Tourlos and set off caravan-style to your first stop of the day. Along the way, your guide will impart plenty of island information. Set off along the beach coast on curvy and climbing roads to the lighthouse at Cape Armenistis on the northern tip of the island. Here, you'll admire views that stretch out over the cliffs of the north side of the Island all the way to the island of Delos. You'll twist down rarely used rustic roads for a unique, up-close view of the island's Mediterranean flora and see the hidden gems of the island, many inaccessible except by Jeep.

Drive along manmade Marathi Lake, Mykonos's main water supply, and past the dam on the way to sun-swept Panormos Beach and the bay of Agios Sostis.

Then set off to the charming village of Ano Mera at the center of the island, home to the lovely Panagia Tourliani Monastery and lush agricultural landscapes.

Pause at the town square lined with authentic tavernas, and sample some locally made delicacies and a beverage.
Refreshed, take off to see a string of picture-postcard views and beaches. The ride high into the village of Mykonos overlooks whitewashed homes, and world-famous windmills glint in the sun like diamonds.

At the completion of your ride, conveniently leave your vehicle near Mykonos's center, and with directions from your guide, set off to explore independently. Wander through its maze of narrow streets, whitewashed lanes and well-preserved, Cycladic architectural buildings. Peer into the shops and small cafes and see such key attractions as the famed Paraportiani Church, located just outside the city walls, and Little Venice, one of the most romantic spots in Mykonos, where colorful homes are built right on the sea. There are several small museums to enjoy, and as you stroll along this glamorous avenue, keep an eye out for Petros the Pelican, the official mascot of Mykonos.

Enjoy all that Mykonos has to offer, then return to port at your leisure via a non-stop shuttle service that brings you back to the ship.

Special Notes:

The self-drive 4x4 vehicles are manual (stick shift) and must be driven by one of the participants. Bring a valid driver's license. There is a lead vehicle with a professional English-speaking guide. Maximum of four guests per vehicle.
