Mykonos's sandy beaches are some of the best and prettiest in the Aegean Sea. With turquoise waters, sparkling sand and stunning views, each one is a picture-postcard that beckons you to its shores. There are beaches to suit everyone's taste, from secluded to bustling with watersports and activities. Spend a delightful three hours touring the sandy shores as you travel through quaint seaside villages to several paradise beaches on the southwest coast.

One of the most picturesque beaches on the island, Agios Ioannis has soft golden sand and azure blue waters. From here, enjoy panoramic views of Delos. Across the shore is a tiny church, and a small tavern sits on a peaceful stretch of sand.
Next, visit Ornos Beach, with its gentle shoreline and family environment fringed with souvenir shops and colorful markets.

Finally, Kalafatis Beach, one of the earliest established beaches, has a long sweeping profile and offshore breezes. Popular with windsurfers, Kalafatis Beach is bathed in sunshine and flanked with tamarisk trees. The surrounding area is dotted with little farms and fishing hamlets.

Continue on to Ano Mera, one of the oldest villages on Mykonos – a traditional and picturesque locale. Its focal point is the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani.

With its intricate folk carvings and marble bell tower, Panagia Tourliani Monastery, originally built in 1542, is an awe-inspiring architectural structure dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Its impressive architecture, whitewashed exterior and colored dome have long charmed visitors from around the world. A beautiful marble fountain sits in front of the church, and its interior houses a striking wooden iconostasis (altar screen) made in 1775 by Florentine artists. Note the hanging incense holders that line the wall; they're decorated with silver dragons holding red eggs in their mouths, evidence of Eastern influences. The monastery is also home to an ecclesiastical museum that showcases embroidery, woodcarvings, and holy icons as well as the monastery's first bells.

In the main square of Ano Mera, visit a local taverna for a glass of chilled ouzo, the licorice-infused national drink of Greece, accompanied by some traditional "mezedes" snacks. Enjoy the moment with your fellow travelers and raise a glass with a stin uyeia sou – to your health!

Settle into your comfortable seat and watch the sights go by as you return to port.
