Vibrant and eclectic, Montevideo is South America's most cosmopolitan capital city. You will have the opportunity to explore it firsthand during this leisurely, two and a half hour, narrated drive about town. So board your transportation at your pier, then sit back and relax as you take in the sights of this stunning port city.

Don't forget your cameras as you will enjoy numerous photo stops at some of the city's most popular, important and visually compelling attractions. All the while your friendly and knowledgeable guide will regale you with fascinating information about the sights you encounter as well as tales of the city's history and culture.

For wonderful views of one of Montevideo's first hospital and magnificent soccer stadium (site of the first World Cup Competition) stop at Batlle y Ordonez Park, named in honor of a former president of Uruguay. Marvel at the majesty of the palm tree-lined Plaza Independencia, the oldest city square in Montevideo! Designed in 1836, it is the site of a massive equestrian monument and mausoleum of the country's national hero Jose Artigas, known as "the father of Uruguayan independence."

No tour of Montevideo is complete without a stop to see the graceful Legislative Palace, considered one of the three most beautiful legislative buildings in the world. Designed by Italian architect Gaetano Moretti, it was built between 1908 and 1925 and inaugurated on 25th of August, 1925 in celebration of the Centennial of the Declaration of Independence. This breathtaking structure is an architectural wonder to behold.

Your return drive to your pier will have you travelling along La Rambla, the city's bustling waterfront promenade. On this route you will also be treated to stunning vistas of some of Montevideo's gorgeous sand beaches and the calm, sparkling waters of the RĂo de la Plata. Back at the port, enjoy a view of the Graff Spee Monument, made from the anchor of a Nazi battleship scuttled off the coast during WWII is available.
