Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Rose Hall, the architectural centerpiece of an historic 400-acre sugar plantation, is beautifully situated between the green hills of Jamaica and the turquoise Caribbean. It creates a stunning backdrop for the mysterious tale of Annie Palmer that unfolded here in the 1800s.

After moving to Jamaica from Haiti, Annie married John Palmer and the beautiful young woman became mistress of Palmer's stately plantation home. When John, two subsequent husbands and a number of Annie's slave lovers died suspiciously, the legend of the "White Witch" was born.

After Annie's life ended with her own murder, author H.G. de Lisser knew he had all the ingredients for a classic Gothic novel. His book, The White Witch of Rose Hall, cemented the fame of the plantation's notorious central figure. You'll learn all about Annie, and the popular belief that Rose Hall is haunted, during your guided tour with an expert guide. After saying good bye to Annie and the island's largest existing sugar plantation, head to the hip strip of MoBay, Gloucester Avenue, where you will have approximately 2 ½ hours to enjoy some of the area's most popular attractions.

Doctor's Cave Beach got its name from Dr. McCatty, the founder of a nearby sanatorium. He and his friends, who were mainly from the medical profession, entered the tiny beach through a cave that was later destroyed in a hurricane. When an article by an esteemed British osteopath touted the waters' curative powers, the rich and famous began flocking to Doctor's Cave Beach making it famous overnight.

Margaritaville's fame stems from the carefree, laid-back tropical rhythm that singer Jimmy Buffet popularized with his song of the same name. It became the inspiration for a group of enterprising developers who created the flagship property in Montego Bay and then expanded their franchise to 4 additional island locations. Join the on-going party, then, prepared with bathing suit, flip flops and towel, get ready to take full advantage of enticements designed for every member of the family.

Try out the 10-foot waterslide, the two giant water trampolines, and browse the treasure-laden shop for signature Margaritaville souvenirs. If you've worked up an appetite, the inviting restaurant and bar offer the opportunity to purchase drinks and lunch before heading back to the ship on a thrilling catamaran sailboat ride.

Special Notes:

The tour includes entrance to Doctor's Cave Beach and Margaritaville. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. Food and beverages are not included, but are available for purchase at the beach or Margaritaville. Wear a swimsuit if you plan to swim and bring a towel and adequate sun protection. Use of the waterslide at Margaritaville is at your own risk. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver form for the trimaran.
