Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Your tour begins as your board your motorcoach for a 30-minute scenic drive to El Castillo de Gibralfaro. An Moorish fortress with breathtaking views of the city and the Mediterranean makes for a dazzling photo opportunity. Along the way, you'll snap a photo or two of La Malagueta, Malaga's bullring that seats over 15,000 aficionados, built in 1874.

A short drive takes you to the Plaza de la Merced. Upon arriving, you'll stroll along the plaza to the ruins of the Roman theater and Picasso's Birth House. Next, you'll visit the Alcazaba, with several impressive Moorish gates in the main buildings, and charming gardens and patios.

Your tour continues with a short walk to the Malaga Cathedral. Built between the 16th and 18th centuries on the site of a mosque, the cathedral is known as La Manquita, "the one-armed one," due to its uncompleted second tower. The cathedral is a unique blend of styles, featuring a Baroque facade, a Gothic floor, a superb Renaissance altar and magnificent Baroque choir stalls.

Your tour concludes with a walk back to your motorcoach, and a relaxing drive back to the pier. With Malaga behind you, you leave with a myriad of unforgettable memories of a lifetime.

Special Notes:

Tour groups are not allowed inside the Cathedral or churches during mass services. Entry will be allowed on an individual basis to view the interior quietly and reverently; guides will explain the cathedral from the outside.

On Sundays many stores are closed in Malaga. Malaga Cathedral is open on Sundays however during mass services only individual visits are accepted. Guide will explain the Cathedral from the outside.

Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
