Your tour begins as you board your motorcoach for a scenic drive around Liverpool. You'll pass the Royal Liver Building and witness its towers topped by Liver Birds, statues of the mythical figures from which the city derives its name.
You'll drive past Pier Head, Town Hall, and Chinatown, and through the city's suburbs and parklands to Penny Lane, where you'll want to photograph the street sign immortalized by the Beatles.
Your tour continues with a visit to Christ the King Cathedral, Liverpool's Roman Catholic basilica topped with a spiked lantern tower containing 25,000 pieces of stained glass. Also on your itinerary is a stop at the Anglican Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Britain and the fifth largest in the world, built on St James' Mount in the city centre of Liverpool.
Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to photograph the Walker Art Gallery. Liverpool's elegant gallery was completed 1875 and donated to the city by brewer Andrew Walker to commemorate his term as Liverpool's mayor. Be sure to keep your camera ready for St. George's Hall, considered one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe, and the site where Dickens held readings.
Your last stop is Albert Dock. Originally built as a prosperous working dock, the Albert Dock has since been restored as a major tourist hot spot and draws over five million visitors each year. It offers a fascinating blend of history, culture, shopping and entertainment.
