What you will visit:
Nature Walk
Costa Rica contains 5% of the earth's biodiversity. Lush and green year round, it is home to an incredible abundance of flora and boasts more than 800 species of ferns and 9,000 species of blooming plants. Trees can grow up to 100 feet (30 meters) tall and offer shade and shelter to a wide variety of indigenous creatures. Costa Rica's fauna include over 850 types of birds, 200 species of mammals, 200 different reptiles and amphibians, and 10% of the world's butterflies.
What you see along the way:
A scenic drive showcases the lush greenery, white-sand beaches, sparkling azure waters and abundant wildlife. Small towns and villages provide a glimpse into the diverse and colorful lives of the locals.
Banana Plantation:
Costa Rica is the world's second largest banana producer. The Limon area boasts over 80% of the country's plantations, and a visit gives insight into the process as to how bananas are grown, selected, cleaned, and prepared for export.
Snack:
Enjoy some Costa Rican snacks on the shores of the Banano River (weather permitting).
