What you will visit:
Limon Waterfront & Backstreet Canals Cruise
Discover Puerto Limon by waterway on a scenic and engaging 2.5-hour adventure. The sturdy touring vessel sets off into the ocean toward the uninhabited "Isla Uvita," where Christopher Columbus anchored his ships in 1502 during his final voyage to America. Weather permitting, you'll circle the pristine island before continuing to Limon's colorful waterfront, where you can admire local landmarks set among the natural vegetation. The backstreet canals offer views of wildlife that coexist with the locals in this urban yet lush environment. (Ocean conditions can be rough.)
What you will see along the way:
The beauty of Costa Rica's shoreline, with its dense tropical vegetation and sandy beaches, enhances your time on the water. Although not guaranteed, when you cruise the canals, keep an eye out for three-toed sloths and howler monkeys swinging in the trees, turtles, and a variety of birdlife.
