Class II Rafting on the Reventazon River & Snack

Your adventure begins as you board your transportation for the drive through the picturesque Caribbean side of the country to the rafting facility. Upon arrival at the Operations Center, you'll find changing rooms to don your gear and enjoy some refreshments prior to heading out for the put-in point. At the launch point, your professional guide will provide some basic instruction and paddling techniques, as well as a safety briefing before putting in.

Your approximate 90-minute rafting trip down the Reventazon River features wide-open stretches of smooth water punctuated by small Class II rapids*. Be on the lookout for wildlife, such as toucans, kingfishers, herons, tanagers and iguanas. Your take-out point is alongside a banana plantation. Here you'll transfer to a vehicle that will return you to the Operations Center for showering followed by a snack and souvenir shopping. Afterwards, you'll re-board your transportation for the trip back to the ship.

Special Notes:

The active excursion is suitable only for passengers in good physical condition. The minimum age required to participate is 8 years old. A liability waiver must be completed prior to participating on this tour. Participants must wear the supplied safety vest. Bring a change of clothes, an additional pair of shoes, and a towel. You will get wet. Wildlife sightings, while common, are not guaranteed. The photo service at some venues is not affiliated with or provided by the cruise line or tour operator. Any photos purchased from this service will be the passengers' responsibility. *The classification of a rapids system is not fixed. It may very greatly depending on water depth and speed of flow.
