Lima, the fifth largest city in Latin America, is widely considered to be one of its most beautiful. Sit back and relax as the ever-changing panorama of city sights takes you back in time to the days of the Spanish conquistadors.

Get a glimpse of that era during a photo stop at the Plaza Mayor. Located in the heart of Lima's Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its hand-crafted wooden balconies, you'll be awestruck by the lofty landmarks that make this central square one of Lima's most photogenic attractions.

See the towering Cathedral of Lima whose dramatic exterior is dominated by two soaring towers and three massive gateways. Known for its magnificent Churriguerra altars and beautifully-carved wooden choir stalls, it is also the final resting place of Francisco Pizarro. The ornate Archbishop's Palace, City Hall and Presidential Palace provide additional subjects for the photographer's craft.

Continuing your drive, you'll enter the quaint Miraflores district, one of Lima's oldest and most stylish residential neighborhoods. You'll be glued to your window as one stately mansion after another comes into view, some of which have earned the venerable status of National Historic Buildings. And it's all set against a backdrop of shimmering sea and sand.

At the unique Parque del Amor, stretch your legs and your imagination. You'll have time at leisure to wander through the love-themed sculpture garden, read the romantic quotes scripted in mosaic tiles and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Then you're off for the bustling stalls of the Indian Market where the excellence of Peruvian artistry is on display. Enjoy colorful weavings with bold geometric designs. Pore over minute portraits of peasant farming life. Find your favorite Huamanga stone sculpture, or pick out a Baroque wood carving, a clay pot, or a stunning piece of gold or silver jewelry.

Later, you'll re-board your transportation for the return trip to the pier. You'll be charmed by the architecture, enchanted by the history, and warmed by the balmy climate and friendly people on this easy half-day tour.
