If you live for outdoor adventure and new experiences, then this half-day 4x4 Jeep safari is for you. Witness the startling beauty of this volcanic island as you travel to some of the areas not included in the regular tour. Make sure you bring your camera; in addition to rambling along some of the most scenic, remote and unmaintained roads in the area, you'll have unobstructed views of the perfectly preserved lava fields, and dramatic rock formations.

After climbing aboard your Jeep at the pier, your experienced driver-guide will instruct everyone on the rules of the road. And along the way, he'll not only share his knowledge of this amazing land and its history but all the hidden secrets that Lanzarote has to offer.

Departing from the quayside, you'll travel inland to the village of Nazaret and your first photo stop. Here, built into the side of a cliff, is the former home of actor Omar Sharif (Lawrence of Arabia, Funny Girl). Called LagOmar, the luxurious house is a museum, art gallery, bar and restaurant. Legend has it that the star actually lost the house in a game of cards!

Then, you'll travel by off roads tracks to the 500-year-old village of Teguise, the ancient capital of Lanzarote. Here, you can enjoy time to yourself to discover the charm of its cobbled streets and the beauty of Palacio Spínola. Built between 1730 and 1780, it serves as the official residence of the Canary Islands' government.

From Teguise tour will continue off-roads and along dirt tracks, crossing the centre of the island direction Famara beach, the longest beach of Lanzarote.

Back on the road, you'll venture towards the outer edges of Timanfaya National Park, a spectacular expanse of dead volcanoes, craters and canyons formed by eruptions over 300 years ago. Don't worry you won't miss any photo opportunities of this Martian-like landscape. Tinguaton volcano, a dominating reminder of Lanzarote's violent past is just one of the stops you'll make. You will stop as well at the Visitor´s Centre where, as you look around, you'll be astounded by the intriguing shapes of molten lava spread out over the barren miles. Due to the island's dry climate, what you see is exactly the way it looked after the eruptions devastated the island from 1730 to 1736.

From here you'll drive to the wine valley of La Geria. Declared a Protected Area, La Geria is Lanzarote's main wine-growing region producing most of Lanzarote's excellent wines. After your invigorating ride, you'll stop at La Geria Cellar where you can quench your thirst with a sampling of some of their quality white, red or rose wines.

Refreshed, you'll climb back aboard your 4x4 and travel back to the quayside and your awaiting ship.
