WHAT YOU VISIT
Todos Santos
Boasting colonial charms as well as creative flair, this laid-back 18th century town may have been founded as a Spanish mission, but today, it's known as a thriving arts community and mecca for surfing enthusiasts. In 2006, Todos Santos was designated as a Pueblo Mágico by the Mexican government for its historical relevance, cultural riches, and natural beauty. Your walking tour takes you through the town's cobblestone streets and along the way your guide will point out sights of interest, as well explain much of the town's history. One of the sites you'll visit is Santa Rosa de las Palmas. Founded by Roman Catholic Jesuits in 1733, the mission was the first European settlement in Todos Santos. While it was destroyed just two years later, the church you'll visit was built in 1970.

As you stroll through the quaint historic center, you'll see many of the homes and buildings that were built when Todos Santos became a major sugar cane producer in the 19th century.

In addition to the many art galleries, the gift shop in the Hotel California includes jewelry, home accessories, souvenirs and clothing.

SNACKS
Share the day's surprises with fellow travelers over chips and salsa, a Mexican sampler platter, and iced tea or water at the famous Hotel California. Although not affiliated with the Eagles song of the same name, it's famous for its eclectic style and history, and its flower filled patio is an ideal spot to relax.
