Visit Santiago de Compostela on a self-directed tour, with transfers to and from the city. Spend the morning sightseeing, shopping or simply soaking up the atmosphere of Santiago de Compostela on your own. An English-speaking coordinator will be onboard with you for the drive, during which time you'll be given some information about the attractions and a city map. You'll disembark at the city's bus terminal where you'll be directed to walk (approximately 15 minutes) towards the historic center of the city and St. James Cathedral, the site for Christian pilgrimage during the Middle Ages. Spend the morning as you like. You'll have approximately three hours to explore Santiago de Compostela independently. Lunch is on your own.

Special Notes:

On Sundays, most stores close and shopping will be limited. You may encounter considerable crowds and delays at the various venues during peak season.

The drive between La Coruña and Santiago de Compostela is approximately 60 minutes each way, subject to traffic conditions. All sightseeing will be on foot, as motorcoaches are not allowed in the historic center of the city.
