Sail Kealakekua Bay, translated as "the pathway of the god." See some of the remaining heiaus, powerful sights of worship from the past. Marvel at Holua Slide, used by Hawaiian nobility for a sledding sport, and Kuamo'o Battlefield, a lava field and historic burial site for 300 warriors who died in 1819 when King Liholiho and Chief Kekuaokalami clashed over religious traditions.
