WHAT YOU VISIT

Wilderness UTV Family Adventure
Head off the beaten track for an off-road safari in a UTV-a Utility Terrain Vehicle. This all-terrain vehicle is safe and easy to drive, great for riders young and old. Engineered for safety and responsiveness with easy-to-use controls, the UTV will help you enjoy your adrenalin pumping adventure. Depart the cruise ship dock and take a scenic route to the White River base camp. Once you arrive, a well-trained guide will offer safety instructions and after donning your protective gear, you'll head out caravan style along a mountainous five-mile-long trail along the George Inlet fjord. Prepare to get muddy as you rev up old logging roads and cut across jaw-dropping bridges in the Tongass National Forest where you can soak up the beauty of the Earth's largest remaining temperate rainforest. With multiple stopovers, everyone gets to drive.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Take advantage of the many stops to capture that perfect wilderness shot. While at Mahoney Lake Trail, you can take a private walk through the woods along beaver dams to see the glorious Lower Mahoney Lake.

LUNCH
After working up an appetite, you'll ride back to base camp for a delicious campfire meal that includes a smokin' reindeer sausage served on a warm bun with all the fixings and a cup of vegetarian chili. For dessert, there's a slice of blueberry pound cake accompanied by a warming mug of hot chocolate, coffee or water.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As you make your way to base camp, your driver guide will take you through downtown Ketchikan, historic Ward Cove, and regale you with entertaining stories of Ketchikan including the history of the Ward Cove Pulp Mill, the old logging days, and highlights of the community today.

Special Notes:

Participants must be between 50" and 78" in height and weigh between 40 lbs. and 300 lbs. Drivers must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license. Drivers can be 16 years of age if they have a valid driver's license and a parent/guardian in the UTV with them. All guests must sign a liability waiver prior to participating. Guests should be in good physical condition. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back, hip, or neck problems. Not suitable for guests in wheelchairs, or with mobility issues as participants must be able to transfer in and out of the UTV and the van used for transportation to the tour venue. Wear attire that can get soiled and that is appropriate for the weather. Vegetarian and child meal options are available.
