Ketchikan Photo Safari
Photographers and outdoor enthusiasts will thrill to an excursion designed for the novice, as well as the professional. Led by a local photographer, your guide will share area history, facts and stories as you travel from six to eight different sites in a Ford transit passenger van through town and into the wild. Enjoy a unique perspective as you visit off-the-beaten path locations with your local guide who has a passion for sharing the best photo opportunites with you.
From cell phones to point and shoots to sophisticated SLR cameras, get ready to capture that magical moment that's worth a thousand words. Some of the sites you'll shoot include the rainforest, totem poles, beach, mountains, creeks, waterfalls, and the chance of wildlife encounters.
Enjoy hot coffee and a gourmet cookie while photographing the boats at historic Bar Harbor.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
When you venture off the beaten path, you'll have unparalleled views of Ketchikan's dramatic waterfalls, lush forests and glassine bays.
Special Notes:Maximum weight is 350 lbs. Dress for the weather and in case of rain consider protection for your cameras. Each van is equipped with small umbrellas. Most sites involve very short walking distances with terrain varying from tame to a bit challenging. Good foot wear is encouraged to enhance your comfort and positioning at some sites. Tour itinerary will vary to capture the day's best locations.
