What You Visit:

Cook my Catch Hunting for Halibut
Your guide will meet you at your ship for a short walk to the marina. Upon arrival you'll be led through the licensing process (the State of Alaska requires those 16 and older to purchase a one-day Alaska fishing license for $25) and then be outfitted like a real Alaskan fisherman. Since Alaska weather can be unpredictable you'll be outfitted with rain gear, rubber boots, a hat and gloves. After a safety briefing, you're ready to board your vessel, a 24-foot custom designed Raider boat.

With your experienced fishing guide by your side, you'll learn the secrets to catching halibut by working the sandy flats, drifting with the current, and jigging in waters as deep as 300 feet. When you catch a halibut you can arrange to have it processed, packaged, frozen, and shipped to your door for an additional charge. Princess chefs can cook and serve the fish for lunch or dinner.

Photo Opportunity:
After returning to the dock, your Alaskan fishing guide will assist with taking photos of the day's catch.

Snack:
Enjoy smoked salmon dip and crackers, fruit, cookie, soda and bottled water while admiring the scenery.

What Your See Along The Way:
As you make your way to the perfect fishing spot, you may see an eagle flying overhead, a seal playfully bobbing up and down in the water or even a humpback cruising by.

Special Notes:

Actual tour duration varies based on your ship's time in port and will be between 5 to 6 hours. Minimum age is 5. Participants may not exceed 350 lbs. Guests with medical conditions should take into consideration this tour operates in rough water at times. Please remember you are purchasing the opportunity to catch fish, not a guarantee of doing so.

A fishing license is required and can be purchased onboard your boat for $25 cash per person. Children under 16 are not required to purchase a license.

Bottom fishing is done by mooching or jigging bait off the ocean floor, typically in 200-400 feet of water, while the boat is on anchor or drifting in one area. Each fisherman has use of their own rod and reel while fishing.

Your catch can be processed and shipped home for an additional charge as arranged by the tour operator. Because of its perishable nature and U.S. Customs regulations, your catch may not be sent outside of the United States. Due to federal regulations, your catch may not be stored onboard your cruise ship, but a portion may be prepared for dinner onboard.

Provided: Fishing gear, rain gear, boots, hat, gloves, socks, life jacket

Snack: Smoked salmon dip and crackers, fruit, cookie, soda and bottled water
