There are no roads on the Na Pali Coast. This most pristine of Kauai's dazzling coastlines is isolated and serene, as nature intended. But you can spend a full day exploring its many marvels, from the seat of your motorized zodiac raft and while swimming and snorkeling along a protective reef.

Gaze in awe at the coast's 15-mile-long necklace of pali, or cliffs, waterfalls, sea caves, beaches and stone walled terraces where Hawaiians once lived and cultivated taro. You may even cruise by Nualolo Kai, an ancient Hawaiian fishing village which contains cultural and archaeological sites that show the area was continually occupied for 800 years, from the 12th through the 20th centuries.

Listen to the expert narration and commentary of your experienced Captain as he provides you with the smoothest ride possible; but be prepared to get a bit wet from the ocean spray as you skim across the surface of the water.

Conditions permitting, you will also enjoy free time to immerse yourself in the natural wonders that surround you. Your captain will pull into a calm lagoon where a protected reef teems with tropical fish, coral, and possibly, green sea turtles. In the winter months, an alternate route may be used to the south side of Kauai to enjoy up close and personal encounters with whales, dolphins, and turtles that frequent the area. November through March brings Pacific humpback whales who come to the islands every year to mate and give birth to their young.

Everything you could possibly need from fins and snorkel to mask and flotation vest are available right on board. And you'll enjoy expert snorkeling instruction for your safety and convenience.

Special Notes:

Minimum age to participate is 5 years and maximum weight is 275 lbs. This tour is not available on holidays.

Not recommended for pregnant women or passengers with previous back or neck issues or those with a heart condition. Guests will not be allowed to snorkel in deep waters unless they know how to swim.

Wear a swimsuit under comfortable clothes and bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat; some of the vessels used are uncovered. Tide conditions may prevent snorkeling.
