Kipu Ranch: Jungle Mountain Trek, Swim & Zipline

Give your sense of adventure full rein at Kipu Ranch, a 4,000-acre working cattle operation with spectacular terrain ranging from a riverside National Wildlife Refuge to spectacular volcanic mountaintops.

After getting outfitted with a mountain climbing helmet, you'll be safely secured into your harness. Soon, the gate will open and with one giant step you'll be airborne. Speeding along at 35 mph, you'll forget your earthly limitations and experience the ride of your life. Enjoy the views from high above the canopy on four exciting ziplines, three of which are over 1,000 feet each and are side-by-side lines so you can enjoy the excitement with a partner.

Participate in nature walks totaling up to three miles and travel from trailhead to trailhead by covered farm wagon or van. An expert guide will provide insight into the natural history of the pristine tropical rain forest and point out the interesting communities of plants, birds and aquatic life. Picture yourself walking through fern forests and flowering gingers to three different jungle waterfalls, each with it's own special character. Give into the urge to swing on ropes tied to tree branches for a refreshing plunge into a mountain pool. Or simply kick back and enjoy the quiet beauty.

When it's lunchtime, you'll follow a short trail to Hidden Falls where your hosts will greet you with a delightful lunch, complimented by spectacular views of the tiered waterfall and fern-laden valley.

Throughout this very active full-day excursion you'll be surrounded by nature. Keep an eye out for wild boar, peacocks and other exotic birds. And listen to exciting stories and local legends about days gone by to complete an unforgettable day on the Garden Isle of Kauai.

Special Notes:

Passengers should wear a swimsuit under clothes and footwear with aggressive tread for muddy and slippery conditions. Bring a windbreaker or light jacket, towel, waterproof sunscreen, hat and bug spray.

Minimum age is 7. Passengers under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum weight is 275 lbs. with a waist size no greater than 44". Participants must be comfortable with heights if partaking in the zipline.
