Whether you're a fisherman, a photographer or a discriminating traveler looking for an authentic and unique experience, this tour will surely be a highlight of any Alaska visit.

This unique tour combines action and adventure starting with your primary mode of transport - a floatplane. Any Juneau local will tell you that the only way to experience southeast Alaska is a flight to the heart of the back country, which road access simply doesn't allow. After you've been provided with waders and rain gear, a short yet exhilarating flight will take you over breathtaking scenery. Once up in the air, you will have a good chance of spotting many wild animals including brown and black bears, bald eagles, deer and whales.

This unique five-and-a-half-hour tour caters both to the first-timer with hands-on instruction available, and also the experienced fly caster, who will enjoy the challenge of Alaska fishing and guide interaction. Fishing here is done on an eco-conscious catch-and-release basis, and you will pursue cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden trout and various salmon species. First-class gear including tackle and flies will also be provided along with a smoked salmon snack and beverages.

Your memorable day ends aboard the floatplane for the breathtaking flight back to the Juneau.

Special Notes:

Minimum age is 8. Participants should be able to walk one mile over uneven ground. This flight has no weight surcharge. Aircraft fly no higher than 3,000 feet. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body. Flightseeing excursions are not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation. Please remember you are purchasing the opportunity to catch fish, not a guarantee of doing so. Fish runs are dependent on spawning seasons, so during May and late-September fish stock may be more limited.

A fishing license is required and can be purchased from the tour operator for $25 cash per person. Children under 16 are not required to purchase a license. All safety equipment and fishing gear is provided. Each guest will be given their own fly rod for hands-on fishing experience. Casting instruction will be provided for both the beginner and the more experienced caster that may only need a little refresher. Fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis.

Provided: Fishing gear, tackle, flies, chest waders (size 4-15), rain jacket, walking stick

Snack: Bagel with cream cheese or smoked salmon spread, soft drinks, coffee, bottled water

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
