See the sights on foot on this lovely 5.5-hour tour that offers a variety of cultural attractions and introduces you to splendors of Istanbul's heritage. A short, scenic motorcoach drive brings you to the city center for a visit to the Great Palace Mosaic Museum. Here you'll find the stunning mosaic dating back to the Byzantine era and recovered during excavations near the Blue Mosque in the 1930s and 1950s. From the museum, you'll walk to Sogukcesme Street, a quiet pedestrian-only enclave lined with restored, 19th century historic Ottoman buildings and lovely trees. Continue to Caferaga Medresesi Theological School, a former religious school built in 1559 that's now a cultural center promoting the preservation of traditional Turkish handicrafts. Conclude at the spectacular Grand Bazaar for shopping and a presentation on the art of Turkish carpet weaving. Return to port.
