WHAT YOU VISIT
Tojin Tomb (Chinese Tomb)
Located right near the Kannonzaki viewpoint and Fusaki Beach, this sacred site pays tribute to the tragic events of 1852, when an American/British ship transporting Chinese workers to California wrecked off Ishigaki's rocky coast. The Chinese influence is seen in the building's architecture, decorative pieces and monuments.

Yashiya Candy Shop
Next door to Tojin Tomb, this sweet little candy shop makes and sells its own sugar cane candy. Here you can watch the process of mashing the sugar cane and boiling it into candy, and may have an opportunity to sample the brown sugar treats.

Kabira Bay
Considered the most beautiful spot on the isle, Kabira Bay is not suitable for swimming due to its fast moving current and jellyfish, so it's best appreciated from a glass-bottomed boat tour. Step on board and delight in the clarity of the turquoise waters and the stunning color and formations of the coral reefs. Kabira Bay is only one of two spots in Japan where Ryukyu black pearls are cultivated.

Tamatorizaki Observatory
Located in the northern part of the city, the observatory provides views all the way to Ibaruma Bay and Hirakubozaki on clear days. The picture-perfect vistas are enhanced by the incredible hibiscus flowers, which bloom year round.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
The undersea life in Kabira Bay is breathtaking! Beautiful corals and schools of tropical fish may make you want to jump in the water, but the current is fast and very dangerous.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Sit back and relax as you travel a scenic route around the island.

Special Notes:

Wear low-heeled, comfortable walking shoes. This tour is not recommended for those passengers with walking difficulties due to the number of steps and sand.
If Glass bottom boat ride is canceled due to weather conditions, a visit to Yaima village will substitute. Visiting order may vary. Bring local currency.
