Your half day excursion begins at Invergordon for the 45-minute ride to Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Small and compact, Inverness is easy to walk around but buses depart quite regularly and travel throughout the city. For shopping, you may want to visit Old Town and Victorian Market. For entertainment such as street performers and Highland pipers, stroll over to nearby High Street. Within walking distance is Inverness Castle on a cliff overlooking the River Ness. Before boarding for your return trip back to Invergordon in the afternoon, you may wish to sit and indulge in any one of Scottish delicacies and a pint of beer in any one of Inverness's fine eateries.

The drive between the pier and Inverness is approximately 45 minutes each way. This tour is non-guided; only a driver and no commentary.Bring local currency or credit cards for additional purchases - credit cards are accepted in a majority of shops, but not all .
