What you will visit:
A rugged ride through the Alaska wilderness takes you along back country roads that traverse the forests and valleys, providing ocean vistas and views of stunning mountainous scenery. Please note this is a remote, dirt-trail experience and the ride will be bumpy at times. You will ride caravan style. The Jeeps have radio communication with the guide vehicle in front, making the tour interactive. You and your friends or family will be led to destinations off the beaten path. Drivers must be at least 25 years old, are required to show a valid driver's license, and must sign a liability/insurance waiver.
What You See Along the Way:
An expert guide leads the caravan of rugged vehicles and provides an informative narrative of the area's history on this 2.5-hour tour of Chichagof Island with a turnaround at Burnt Point. Your small group of explorers will drive along the back roads in search of wildlife and adventure. While traveling along the old logging roads, you may encounter wildlife such as eagles, Sitka black-tailed deer and the coastal brown bear. Head up mountain trails to seek spectacular vistas of the surrounding area.
With stops along the way to allow guests to switch to the driver's seat, there will also be plenty of time to take in the breathtaking views of Icy Strait and take photographs.
