Nature lovers unite for this scenic half-day tour that takes you to La Ventanilla, a renowned ecotourism center and indigenous village of Zapotec origin dedicated to the preservation of the wildlife inhabiting its beach and lagoon. An 85-minute ride brings you to the canoe dock where you'll meet your guide and embark on a float down the mangrove-lined lagoon. Keep your camera at the ready, as this natural habitat offers a wonderful opportunity for nature photography. This conservation area, with abundant vegetation, provides a refuge to all kinds of animals, including many iguanas, raccoons, freshwater turtles, white-tail deer, crustaceans and of course the protected Mexican crocodiles, which move silently throughout the cool waters. Your boat ride takes you to a secluded island where your guide will prepare a light snack of quesadillas cooked on an open-air oven. Travel back to the mainland in the canoe and relax on the drive to port.
