Immerse yourself in a full-day of island culture and adventure with an authentic Hawaiian Luau and a visit to the award-winning Polynesian Cultural Center. Begin your cultural adventure at the pier where you will board an air-conditioned motorcoach. Then sit back and take in the wonders of this lush tropical island paradise on a ninety-minute non-narrated drive along Oahu's windward coast as well as Hawaii's famous North Shore renowned for its legendary beaches.

Your final destination is the Polynesian Cultural Center, named the visitor's favorite by the People's Choice Awards. Located near the village of Laie and founded by Mormon missionaries in 1864, the center preserves the cultures and customs of old Polynesia, from Hawaii to Tonga and Samoa.

Upon your arrival to the 42-acre center, Polynesian villagers (students from nearby Laie campus of the Brigham Young University) will greet you. As you stroll the center on a guided tour, you'll find seven different authentic island settings with dozens of fun-filled and informative demonstrations such as Tongan drumming, coconut tree climbing and traditional dances of Fiji, Hawaii, the Marquesas, New Zealand, Samoa, Tahiti and Tonga. You'll also be treated to the spectacular Pageant of Long Canoes that floats the waterways of the center regaling you with the songs and pageantry of Polynesia.

Then prepare to indulge in the Ali'i Luau, winner of the coveted Kahili Award for preserving Hawaiian culture and considered one of the most authentic luaus on Oahu! The festivities begin with a lei greeting and the ceremonial lifting of the pig from the steaming rocks of the imu (underground oven).

Watch the procession of Hawaiian royalty, the Ali'i court, and partake in a traditional Hawaiian feast as the show begins with hula kahiko, or ancient dances, that tell stories of old Hawaii. While you watch the show, enjoy a delicious array of Kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, poi and much more! As you dine and delight in the entertainment, the performers will take you on a nostalgic tour of Polynesian music styles, including songs of the 30s and 40s with the classic sounds of the Hawaiian steel guitar.

As the sun goes down and your luau comes to an end, join the Center's other guests for the Evening Spectacular Night Show! With a cast of 100 performers, this is the largest Polynesian revue of song and dance in the world. Dressed in native attire, performers from all corners of the Pacific share their history, traditions and spirit in the same way their ancestors did. Fire knife champions and firewalkers add dramatic flair to an amazing, educational and absolutely unforgettable day of culture and adventure!
