Taste the iconic flavors of Norway when you savor the sweet meat of the legendary King Crab. Your 2.5-hour tasty tour begins with a short motorcoach ride to a traditional campfire setting. Here, your hosts will welcome you to the lavvo, a tent similar to a Native American teepee. Sit on wooden benches facing a roaring fire in the center and watch as the succulent king crabs are cooked in an open pot filled with fresh seawater. While you enjoy your meal, accompanied by bread and butter and hot coffee prepared on the open fire, your hosts share information about this impressive creature of the sea. At the completion of your feast, return to port satiated from your fun-filled day.
Special Notes:
Not suitable for guests who have an allergy to shellfish. Do not leave your belongings on the bus, as a different vehicle may be used for the return journey. A local, English-speaking crab specialist will accompany you. Infants under two years of age must have an infant car seat (not provided). Walking on sand is required at the lavvo tent and to view the crab pots; otherwise, very little walking is required on this tour.Details
