An elegant live performance of famed Finnish composure Jean Sibelius is a high point of this culturally rich half day adventure. Begin with a scenic motorcoach ride that includes many highlights, such as Senate Square, surrounded by architecturally significant public buildings. Continue on foot to the waterfront and Market Square, where vendors sell their colorful wares. See Uspenski Cathedral, the Presidential Palace and the Swedish Theater on Mannerheim Street. Watch for the Parliament Building and Finlandia Hall, and see Olympic Stadium, site of the 1952 Olympic Games. Pass the Museum of Contemporary Art, then step inside the famous Temppeliaukio Church, hewn into solid bedrock. Arrive at Balder Hall for a live music performance of Sibelius's compositions accompanied by an on-screen visual symphony of Finland's stunning natural beauty. Receive a gift CD and a complimentary beverage. Conclude with a stop at Sibelius Park to view the monument honoring the composer. Return to port.

Special Notes:

The recital may not be exclusive to guests. There is total of 51 steps to reach the second floor of the Balder Hall with no elevator available. The Olympic Stadium is under renovation until August, 2020. It is a 400-yard walk uphill from the coach parking to the Rock Church.
