What you will visit:
Helsinki by Electrical Tuk Tuk
Explore the historic city of Helsinki by tuk tuk. Founded in 1550, Helsinki is the capital of Finland and serves as its economic and cultural center. Today's Helsinki is a vibrant design and architectural hub, with many architectural wonders that make Helsinki known as a "City of Architecture." This auto rickshaw is an electric-powered three-wheeler, an eco-friendly way to see the sights. A wireless audio receiver maximizes your experience.
Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church)
Helsinki's most important architectural site is carved straight into a solid bed of rock. The huge oval structure is lit in part by skylights that punctuate the rock walls, and it features a roof formed from a dome lined with copper and supported by concrete beams. Inside the church, rough rock lines the walls.
Sibelius Park
Finnish composer Jean Sibelius is considered the nation's greatest composer. The park showcases a monument dedicated to the composer featuring more than 600 hollow pipes fashioned into a wave pattern.
What you will see along the way:
Your tuk tuk driver/guide will show you the wonderful sights of the neighborhood of Eira and Katajanokka. These art nouveau areas are not accessed by regular tour buses, due to their narrow streets. Also see Senate Square, and along Helsinki's main thoroughfare, you'll see such sights as the House of Parliament, The Music Hall, The National Opera, and the New Library "Oodi."
