Become acquainted with the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. Learn more about the Hanseatic League; see magnificent churches, neo-Renaissance architecture and parks of Germany's second-largest city. Drive through the city center, boasting a mix of modern and old architecture, hundreds of small shops and a number of large department stores. Pass through the famous entertainment district, called Reeperbahn, the Beatles began their career here in 1961. Stop at Hamburg's landmark, St. Michael's Church and have a look inside before taking a leisurely stroll through this small district that offers a glimpse of old Hamburg. You will also have some free time for shopping before you return to the ship.
Special Notes:
St Michael's church closes at 7pm and will not be included on evening visits.Modest attire is required for visiting churches or cathedrals; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered; shorts are not allowed.
No flash photography is permitted at St Michael's Church.
Wear flat, comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers.

The coach for the city tour is equipped with seat belts, guests are required to use them. Guests may not stay on the coach during free time. The tour runs during all weather conditions. Guests should be prepared for the possibility of rain.
It is advisable to bring some small change of Euro coins as some shops do not accept other currencies nor Credit Cards for small purchases (furthermore, guests may have to pay for public bathroom facilities, usually between 50,- cents and 1,-Euro pp). Shops are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Only a few souvenir shops may be opened.
