Soak up breathtaking imagery on this unforgettable full-day tour that begins with a scenic drive to Helgafell, 'the holy mountain,' which plays a pivotal part in the Laxdœla Saga, an ancient Icelandic love story. Travel to Stykkisholmur, a thriving city with magnificent terrain and well-preserved Icelandic homes. If skies are clear, snap pictures of Snæfellsjökull, a glacier-covered stratovolcano made famous by 'Journey to the Center of the Earth.' After lunching at a local eatery, visit Arnarstapi, a quaint fishing hamlet with dazzling volcanic rock formations and awe-inspiring cliffs, home to a thriving bird colony. In lovely Hellnar, photograph Valasnös, a giant, protruding cliff, and stop by Snæfellsnes National Park's visitor center. On Djupalonssandur's black-pebbled beach, see four giant lifting stones used to test fishermen's strength.
