What you will visit:
North Creek
A quiet waterway in the central northern region of Grand Turk, North Creek is a pristine lagoon with lush coastal mangroves, a white-sand shoreline and crystal-clear turquoise waters. From the seat of a two-person kayak, take in picturesque views of the native flora and fauna including a variety of birds, fish and surprising upside-down jellyfish. A knowledgeable guide will impart information on this local ecosystem and the conservation efforts to protect it. Once on shore, learn more about how the indigenous vegetation and availability of fresh water make these areas very important for birds. Keep an eye out for gulls, flamingos, terns, herons and egrets.
What you will see along the way:
As you head into the northern region of the island, you'll pass North Wells, where donkeys can be seen grazing on wetland vegetation.
